If you"ll indulge me, i"d like to change the world . People believe that technology has no intrinsic meaning. Devices leave no lasting impression beyond the moment of use limited, fleeting. Technologies are divorced from what people think about, how people feel. If technology means anything, it usually means the same thing human evolution and social progress. Technology is always bound up with politicized fantasies of power, with little to do with reality. Friendship is more fulfilling, love is more exciting when channeled through the means provided by technology. Interstellar: legitimize fantasies that we indulge in already. There is more to the meaning of technology than immortality, etc. Belief in technology as valued neutral is a value system. Without ever deciding to approach the world in a particular way, we have all adopted a belief system as to how to use technology.
