Voidable contract exist but may be avoided at the option of one of the parties. Valid but unenforceable contract exist but cannot be enforced: need to be in writing to be enforced by the courts, e. g. Statue of frauds: e. g. contract is formed verbally for the purchase of land and before you purchase it, you back out. This is allowed because the contract is unenforceable. If you back out after the purchase is complete, this is not allowed because the contract is valid. Purpose must be legal if not its void/not allowed.
