Ie: communicating by video conference. We know this by who chats/communicates with one another (can be face- to- face or virtual/computer mediated) Reliance on other group members to accomplish goals. Ie: doctors and nurses rely on one another as part of a health care group. Relying on/linked to through rewards/goals/materials/information they share. Work teams: relatively permanent teams in which members work together to produce goods or provide services. Require full time commitment from members; members have high level of involvement and a long life span (day- to- day over time) Ie: a maintenance team works together to clean an office building every night.
