Trust increase information sharing, openness, fluidity, and cooperation. Trustworthy people are better at changing a person"s attitudes and beliefs, not just behavior. Why warmth trumps strength connect with people before trying to lead them. The need to affiliate: people need to feel a sense of belonging, they will experience pain akin to strong physical pain when excluded. The desire to be understood: people have a deep desire to be heard, being a leader makes it harder to understand others, try to imagine being in the shoes of those you are leading. Strength and warmth work together to gain influence.
