No strongly influenced by workstation design, but depends on interactions of these characteristics (task, user, workplace) Trunk loading and kinematics more affected by task carried out than the furniture used. Task requirements that influence workplace design: visual. Influences position of head major determinant of postural adaptation. If visual requirements exceed worker ability, poor posture will result no matter careful attention to furniture: head erect straight line of sight parallel with ground: comfortably.
