Olympic games was 1 of 4 crown festivals. Olympic was most prestigious, with most of the rules followed religiously based on greek religion following zeus. Key aspects: physical contests, prestige, exclusivity, greek athletic virtues and mentality, truce, physical contests. The greeks accorded the olympic games the most prestige of all because done in honor of zeus. Only free men who spoke greek could compete. No married women in the sanctuary other than the priestess of demeter. Games in honour of hera for girls: greek virtues and mentality. Boxing, wrestling and pankration (anything goes a combination of the other two) Not sure how the overall winner is determined.
