That logic becomes evident through what people do as much as through what they say about it. Competitive sports model vs. inuit and dene games. Presumed to be the most appropriate way to do sport. Must have for sport to be considered a sport. Not all events have this: an iron man triathlon finishing is more important (accomplishment vs. achievement) Some of the games we have never seen or heard of before.
