Document Summary

(cid:1688)kinetics is concerned with the relationship between the motion of bodies and its causes, namely forces and torques(cid:1689) Kinetics are why we move. the forces we see effects of but cant see forces themselves. Kinetics drive kinematics/motion. this is the genesis of all motion. Forces cause linear translation: x, y, z. Torques cause rotation: roll, pitch, yaw it all starts with force: Kinetics: force, acceleration, velocity, displacement, position examples of forces: Buoyancy, centripetal, elastic, fluid drag, fluid lift, friction, gravity, muscle, pressure, Grf are causes of gait and walking properties of forces: Amount of force in a system is proportional to mass and acceleration existing in a system. Mathematical link b/w force and acceleration with the introduction of mass. Therefore linked to velocity and displacement as well. Same as kinematics, each force gets a unique vector. Vector composition to sum forces to find resultant (net) force. Grf has direction, magnitude, and point of application.
