Document Summary

When 2 bones come together it is a joint. These types are the types of joints and their movement. In a baby these bones haven"t hardened so they can move. Its not till you get till age 19 or is when all the cartilage is gone. This is because as your brain gets bigger your skull needs to grow as well. The bones i the sutures are actually stronger then the other bones because it is cortical bone all the way through. The way that they move is cartilage that is flexible and from all of them moving in small movement brings about a larger motion over all. This is because they have to be sliding. The bigger the bump the harder the tendon or ligament are pulling. The grove between femur and patellar has articular cartilage. Your meniscus are used to spread the weight/pressure across the knee. It allows for the force spread to across a larger surface area.
