Retrocalcaneal bursitis vs. achilles bursitis: retrocalcaneal bursitis. Tendinitis and paratenonitis continued: acute irritation, external factors such as, too much, too soon , rub from bone or shoe/equipment, running down hill tib anterior, rub from laces tib anterior, hyper dorsiflexion achilles. Internal factors such as foot malalignment: rub over bone, cavus or flat/pronating feet. Start strength and proprioception ex. as healing: they think they are healed but they really aren"t able. Achilles tendinosis: what is a tendinosis/tendinopathy, chronic pathological changes brought about by repetitive micro-trauma. And tenderness over large portion of tendon: no swelling, just thickens, faulty biomechanics, on sttt, both plantar and dorsiflexion cause pain and crepitus (if paratenon involved), particularly with loading, nodules/bumps may be palpable.
