Acute: police, use hinge/rigid brace, gentle flexion/extension rom asap, maintain dynamic stabilizers, especially quads/hams. Sub-acute: idealize rom, begin to put gentle force across joint in single plane of movement, continue to strengthen dynamic stabilizers, begin proprioception exercises. Remodeling: prepare for full return to sport, stress ++ through injured tissues, functional proprioception and strengthening.
