Document Summary
Marathon runner, 100 meters in 19 seconds. But can run long times with relatively high power outputs. Muscle glycogen and exhaustive exercise: low glycogen, time to exhaustion is quicker, the same thing applys with intermittent work. Does not have to be a continuous exercise, the carb feeding, you can maintain power outputs. Do(cid:374)"t ha(cid:448)e this, you ge(cid:374)erate less a(cid:374)d less power over this duration. We are able to conserve muscle glycogen to some degree, because we can use glucose that is available in the blood for glycolysis. In this study, they started dirnking the high carb drink 45 mins before the workout.
