Thesis: how health equity indicators are being used in specific public health agencies. Individual entitled to exercise his/her right to choose. Ebola became the number 1 health issue in a few days because of globalization. Allow for a free market to emerge where individuals make their choices, business-friendly socioeconomic environment. Marriage between the state and private enterprise in terms of how health choices are delivered, even the language used is different. Attempts to eradicate public and community good, and elevate individual responsibility. Individual has to look after themselves and no one else. Does not place restraints on individual, you make the choices you want to do. You have the resources to make a rational choice - whether that happens is up for debate. Negatively, esp. in various groups of the population. Creation of a global market place and restructuring of state institutions. Causing increased downloading of responsibilities to the individual citizen.
