To provide information on the construct, measurement, and de nition of health related quality of life. This course is directed toward understanding the multidimensional nature of quality of life as a theoretical construct and its application to health and wellness, illness, and disease. Gain an understanding of various de nitions of health related quality of life. Understand and apply measurement of health related quality of life constructs. Examine the intersection of health related quality of life with various states of health and illness. Examine the interaction between health related quality of life and determinants of health. Research and synthesis skills, particularly with academic (peer-reviewed) literature. What is testable? anything assigned or presented in class, reading. What is not testable? large ideas from journal articles (signi cance, trends; not speci c data) The objective of this assignment is to prepare a dynamic presentation exploring a health issue and the relationship to health related quality of life for a speci c population.
