Overview: psychological models of aging, psychological changes. Epigenetic principle: each stage unfolds form the previous stage in predestined order, but, people may experience a psychosocial issue at an age other than the one shown where it crosses the diagonal. In middle adult hood, we are focused about thinking about the generatively giving back and creating a legacy for themselves vs. stagnation which has no sense of movement. In later adulthood, we start thinking about who they are and what they have accomplished resulted from unresolved concerns. There is a problem with this theory: it states that everything has to go in a particular order: one of the limitation of this theory, e. g. People experiencing a middle/identity crisis at an earlier stage in life: e. g. 30-year-old dealing with cancer which is seem in ego-integrity vs. despair. They are staying active, finding balance, and etc. Theory of how people cope as they get older.
