Reviewed various studies about adolescent health and sdh, and identify it as an under-researched area. Childhood is a more significant developing stage of life in comparison to adolescence. Adolescents are viewed as important because they are becoming adults. Not viewed as a valued time- period of life. The two important factors are structural factors and proximal factors. It is also important for the present time, not just what they represent. Want to generate a new theoretical framework for identity formation. Can develop new theories when you combine existing ideas to a new population. Applying immigration theories to formation of identity in adolescents in the global context & how they navigate their identity. Only rely on un based studies, could look for other resources. It identifies a shift from a focus on risk to things like resilience.
