After birth, babies begin to mimic the facial expressions of others. Over the past few years, psychologists have figured out how to understand what babies think w/o communicating in english. The ability to analyze the actions of people we come in contact w/ is vital for survival. This can develop prior to the age one. Kily hamlin focuses on where do judgements of what is good/bad or wright/wrong develop. The baby chose the green-shirted otter choosing the good guy over the bad guy because he shared the ball (i. e. 10 month olds 3 month olds) Looking time exhibits that babies look longer at things that they like. His preference suggests that he figured out and remembered who was who; infants like those who help others and dislike those who do not like others. Ella, a 9-month old understands that being helpful is good, but not to those who don"t deserve it.
