Issue: adults who exhibit similar behaviour (self-destructive etc. ) they would not be deprived of their autonomy. It"s because the patients are adolescents that they can take away their autonomy and involuntarily be placed in hospitals. Increased desire to be in charge of your own self. Phase of adolescents should have increased autonomy, searching for identity etc. Problem with categories to classify normal human behaviour. Teens express a behaviour and then are categorized under it (depressed etc. ) and sent to the hospital. They looked like they"re mourning fully clothed. Females are shown more, protecting their virginity. Women look fatter/plumper strong sign as healthy . Sense of virginity as portrayed through the bible. Virginity can be biologically restored but no procedure can take away the experience. The idea that through science you can have your virginity restored. You can repair your hymen through science (surgery) but nothing can change that it happened. Culture and virginity vary place to place.
