Active roughly killing a patient this is often what people think of when it comes to euthanasia. Passive this is letting the patient die from inactivity. This is like failing to revive a person who has signed a dnr order. Once someone has signed a dnr they shut off the heart monitor this is because we"ve all seen the big dramatic moment when people die on tv, and it actually happens in real life. When people see the moment where their loved one dies they often can have an emotional response. There is no need to monitor their heart response since they know they are going to die. Withholding of treatment not performing needed treatment this often happens with late stage cancer patients. Or if there are not enough resources and someone is guaranteed to die they may not want to waste the materials on them. Cessation of treatment turning off a respirator.
