How medicine as a profession and institution can be thought as its regulatory function; how it brings people roles to specific norms. Are many engines that drive the process of medicalization: Demand to be recognized as a medical institute. Conceptual naming and framing; construction of knowledge. It suggests that sometimes naming things in medical terms is not a response to medical evidence.
