Case: mother from bc committed suicide, feeling too much judgement for breast feeding. Right after baby is born if prematurely or above average weight, mother and child should be skin-to-skin to help stabilize breathing. Life course perspective: understanding what happens before you are born all the way to early childhood will impact your life later on.
