Bad news stories get more press than good, in regards to media. Panic- offers a focus, validates your fear (yes, ok we are screwed) Threats that are not real makes more of a panic. Pan- legend has it, his mother runs away in fear. Common features of panic situations: long term preconditions all these bad things are happening, whats next, short term cause the trigger, spread, scapegoats- someone who takes the blame.
