Able to question conventions, explore the alienation that they were feeling. Could pick up where the beats left off, could challenge the status quo. Frustrated that they did not have control, growing up in a cold war world. Questioning war, racial issues, the college system. Wa(cid:374)t alter(cid:374)ati(cid:448)es, (cid:272)o(cid:373)(cid:373)u(cid:374)alis(cid:373), to share, har(cid:373)o(cid:374)y, free lo(cid:448)e (cid:894)opposite of the (cid:1009)(cid:1004)(cid:859)s(cid:895) The fight for social, economic and political equality.
