Great works of art are interpreted as cultured. How pop culture is used it leads to different outcomes and definitions. Often too big to define and more focus is put on the culture then the popular part. Arena where webs of meaning reflecting how we conceive of the world around is are articulated. Meaning is interpretive and individualistic in a culture. General process of intellectual, spiritual and aesthetic development. The culture that is widely favoured and well-liked by many people. Everything that is not high culture is popular culture. Culture, artifacts and practices consumed for mass consumption. Site of resistance from the struggle of (cid:272)ooperation"s. Doesn"t (cid:271)elong to a spe(cid:272)ifi(cid:272) group of people. Requires industrialization and urbanization (mass production=open to the masses) Modern phenomenon different people consider high culture differently. Too board too appealing to lower class doesn"t take in to a(cid:272)(cid:272)ount individualist perspe(cid:272)tive on (cid:272)ulture. Creates a working class, who can also consume pop culture.
