Document Summary

The european dynastic order: forms of state, the european map, dynasties c. Absolutism or absolutism : affairs of the state: concerns of the government a. International relations: police and justice, fiscal systems, administrative capabilities. It is history that defines europe, not geography as it is not a landmass by itself (connected to asia and africa); it is a small part of a much larger landmass. While it is still open to the movement of ideas, the different cultures are isolated from one another. The map of europe is very diverse; even throughout the different countries, there are many different languages and dialects spoken. It is possible to argue that diversity has led to competition, conflict and different intellectual ideas. Most european states were ruled by a monarch and the majority of those monarchs were men; there were a few republics that were run by an oligarchy.
