Imbalance in humours also affected the mind (psyche) Argues they transmit impulses into the brain and send messages to extremities: for him, health was the greatest good, was skeptical of hippocrates, esp. 4 humors probably because he was able to dissect bodies and see the internal matter: erasistratus devoted himself to study of anatomy and physiology.
