Most (especially in spanish america): reflect rigid military principles, central planning concepts. Spanish and portuguese influenced the developments in latin america today; before arrivals of these colonial powers, many locations had their own form of globalization. Aztecs had city of 300,000 people been home to 1 million people at one point. History of urban development before colonial powers came from portugal. Portuguese america: ethnic diversity from african/european mix (fewer native people) Aztec culture was highly urbanized (tenochtitlan ~300,000)
