Living and working in a common space inevitably leads to the formation of a regional identity. This is the product of a regional physical geography, historical events and economic situation. People place their imprint of landscapes just as landscapes influence their lives and activities. Regionalism: the division of a large area into different parts. Some countries are more prone to regionalism than others. 5 countries that stand out in terms of regionalism: us, china, russia, australia, canada. Regionalism is prevalent in canada because of its vast size and varied geography. The nba act of 1867 gave considerable power to the province: this act lead to us being a country and have provinces power like health care. Region: a disti(cid:374)(cid:272)tive area of earth(cid:859)s surfa(cid:272)e. it has disti(cid:374)guishi(cid:374)g hu(cid:373)a(cid:374) or (cid:374)atural characteristics that set it apart from other areas. The boundaries of these regions are related to faultlines.
