Disability in the media is commonly characterized by the public creating a distinctive way to perceive disability in a particular way. People are labeled as able or disabled, but these two straightforward words are known to be the result of societies growth of stereotypes. Thus, leading to the disclosure of what is perceived as normal" is a society. Disability in the dance and the creative industry is commonly looked over, as i grew up dancing and was never exposed to such things. People think that dancing as a disabled person, you need to adapt to the circumstances and need great accommodations. In my creative portion of this project, i was able to take the idea of dance and movement having absolutely no limits, and portray it through a psa video. Disability in dance and movement could be represented in many forms of disability, but i don"t think there needs to be a boundary upon it.
