Uses the rules of continuity editing in order to break them. Jump cut: when shots differ only slightly in angle or composition when you cut together two shots of the same subject. :an abrupt cut between two shots that calls attention to itself b/c it does not match the shot seamlessly. A cut that deliberately violates spatial, temporal, and graphical continuity.
