Who is katniss everdeen: her moral nature: Political affect is based on the moral integrity she maintains during her time in the arena: does not conform to the ideals that the capitol wishes to see (savagery) However, she does contemplate cold-blooded murder, she just does not act on it. Actions or thoughts: thoughts are typically more reliable: we know motives, what they do/consider doing. We are getting the background notes to her actions. Lack of advanced warning in actions she is oftentimes surprised by her own actions, suggesting that something in her thought process is discarded by her actions. The goat story: katniss is dedicated to maintaining an image of herself: masculine traits, or at least, what modern society calls masculine. Additionally, she is reluctant to accept the roles that we call feminine. She also identi es more strongly with her father rather than her mother.
