The digital assistant is more than merely a kind of project or toy or status symbol, it"s a device that will allow humans to have more human lives. They have a machinic otherness that distinguishes them from other humans. She is both a tool for human use, and yet something more than a tool. She is a kind of extension of theodore and something in her own right. Theo can tell sam anything, but there are things that she doesn"t want to tell him. She fantasizes about having a body, but feels awkward talking about those things. She has no physical existence in this world. Precisely because she doesn"t have a body is the reason he can tell her everything. A new prospect, new way of thinking about the world. The post human world- the age right now. Posthumanism a concept that"s not singular it comes in a variety of sources.
