Water is not always where you want it, have to lift it and raise it. More efficient ways of moving water, automatic, wheel with fins sticking out of it, water comes through and it will rotate on its own. Getting things to pour water into a channel was hard. Also had a tipinonum (greek word from drum), large cylindrical drum: useful and works well, it can"t bring water very high (less than diameter of the wheel) Pages 63-70 have the same sort of thing (problem with drawings) Figures 18 and 19 do not work well (pages 71 and 73) Have buckets on chains with 2 wheels, 2 axles, one on top and one on bottom and thing rotates and brings them up and flips them over: collector is right in front of bucket. Figure 16 guys walk around a big wheel and stuff comes out the side of the wheel (one way of making the thing work properly)
