Been 45 years since the most powerful society declared war on cancer. In canada, men are at higher risk of cancer than women. 40% chance of getting cancer if you are a woman. 45% chance of getting cancer if you are a man: women have a slightly less chance, but cancer is still the most common cause of death after. The top four : breast cancer, prostate cancer, lung cancer, colon cancer. *top four in this part of the world. This tells us that it goes after specific areas. Colon is outside your body and so are your lungs, maybe there is a suggestion that there is environmental influences. Prostate and breast reveal that hormones that stimulate development or division seem to be important and can also have influences. Cancer is the leading cause of premature death in canada. 40% of women and 45% of men will develop cancer. 25% of canadians can expect to die of cancer.
