To look inside the earth we can use seismic monitors. Some waves will travel through solids, others through liquids. By seeing the bounces made by the waves we can determine what is inside. Deepest hole that has been drilled: around 12km out of 64km in russia. Moon has no atmosphere so the waves can detect it. We can y a spacecraft around the planet. Some regions on the earth are very dense causing a strong gravitational eld. Core is composed of metal: nickel and iron. Inner most part is solid caused my strong pressures. Comping out you have a liquid core. Mental is what most of the earth is made of: 85% Rocks made from silicon that have been oxidized. Crust is the lowest density on average like grant. Lithosphere: the crust and upper part of mental question: why is it less dense the further you come to the surface of the earth.
