E. g. by walking their goats etc on it, by stealing materials from the actual railway. People began to participate more in the same discourse about politics. People talked about the way they wanted to see ecuador develop. Found gavin smith"s idea insightful about being in the same community not meaning you share same values but that you share argument. Antonio gramsci was italian scholar who developed concept of hegemony the way we use it today.
