Why do your lymph nodes get swollen when sick. This kid has diptheria possibly due to not getting vaccinated. They get swollen in areas where they are concentrated ie axilla, groin, and neck. Filtration; remember that some of theseparticulates are different types of antigens. She reads the rest of the points up there. Bcells become affector eclls and make anti bodies (plasma cells; an activated/differentiated b cell). Primary lymphoid organs ( aka educater): where cells become immunocompetent and start mounting lymphocytes undergo antigen-independent differentiation, become immunocompetent note. This is a review from previous lec so i could prolly get the note for that from there. Secondary lyphoid organs: lymphocytes undergo antigen-dependent activation- become effector lymphocytes and memory cells. Lymphnode is a type of secondary lymphoid organ.
