Document Summary

The testis is enclosed by a dense connective tissue capsule (tunica albuginea) and contains 250-300 lobules with one to four seminiferous tubules each. Extensive capsule: tunica albuginea, irregular dense connective tissue. Because of all the collagen it appears white many times. Underneath the tunica we see cross section of tubes. Made up of epithelium that houses germ cells which are at all different types of levels of maturation. Can also see that each tubule is surrounded by some connective tissue. The wall of the se(cid:373)i(cid:374)iferou stu(cid:271)ule (cid:272)o(cid:374)tai(cid:374)s a lot of (cid:374)u(cid:272)lei. It"s (cid:374)ot a stratified epithelia, it"s a si(cid:373)ple epithelia a(cid:272)tually The epitheliu(cid:373) is (cid:373)ade up of sertoli cells, they reach from the basement membrane all the way to the lumen. These cells attach to one another and from the basis of the tubule and allow developing spermatogenic cells to develop within the epithelium.
