Root, bridge, ala (wings think sydney crosby), nostrils. Bony framework: frontal, nasal, maxillary, volmer comes up and meets ethmoid. 3 major piece of cartilage: alar cartilage of ala, lateral cartilage, septal (divides the nose) Superior, middle, and inferior meatus: underneath each concha, passage way for air through the nasal cavity. Concha curl from the lateral wall into towards the midline: make turbulent air, more surface area, easily to be warmed and moisten= better condition for lungs. Hard palate (palantine and maxilla), soft palate distinguish between the oral. 3 components (what it sits relative to): nasopharynx.
