They are the largest group of aboriginal peoples south of the artic. "m tis" means a person who self-identifies as m tis, is of historic m tis nation ancestry, is distinct from other aboriginal peoples and is accepted by the m tis nation. Legal traditions are not the criminal justice system, their force is not overtly stated. Legal tradition - are compo(cid:374)e(cid:374)ts of a so(cid:272)iety(cid:859)s (cid:272)ultu(cid:396)e that offer guidelines for addressing conflict and disagreements that naturally emerge when humans live together.
