Before age 3: casual observation and intelligence tests only modestly predict future aptitudes. By age 4: intelligence test performance begins to predict adolescent and adult scores. Late adolescence: remarkable stability of aptitude scores; +. 86 correlation. After 70 years of carried life experiences, test-takers two set of scores. Environment, diet, stress etc. will highly effect mental ability, and the body"s abilities. The supreme court realized the imprecision and arbitrariness of fixed cut-off scores, and required states with death row inmates who scored over 70 to consider other evidence in 2014. Terman study: tracked students who were scoring higher than gifted. They were healthy, well- adjusted, and unusually successful academically. Critics of study: questions percentage of gifted children, and said that children have differing intelligences. Do people with the same genes share intelligence: . 85 between monozygotic twins for intelligence tests. There are no genes which predict iq, although can predict a slightly bigger brain.
