If sacred areas are known, they are often located and destroyed by non- indigenous people. Black mesa (on reservation line): signed away land/water rights to coal miners. Springs has already occurred their water stores have been depleted. Great mountain: area of spiritual healing wintu. Language is about the die with the last fluent speakers.
