The 3 little pigs la hemingway (i can"t remember who wrote this one. ) This pastiche injects the classic tale of the three little pigs with a rather strong dose of. Hemingway, primarily the old man and the sea. The plot of the children"s story is only slightly changed from its original, but those alterations are all deliberate. The wolf hunting for his living is the protagonist rather than the pigs to add a bit of loneliness to the piece and to parallel santiago"s role as fisherman. The wolf also pines for the boy, as does santiago (hemingway 50, 51, 56). The ending is also different: the wolf"s death has been replaced with forfeit and sleep to mimic the ending of the old man and the sea.
