However, most of the expectations about what work that men and women will do are based on cultural values of what is appropriate. This sexual division of la(cid:271)o(cid:396) (cid:272)o(cid:374)t(cid:396)i(cid:271)utes to the g(cid:396)oup"s su(cid:396)(cid:448)i(cid:448)al (cid:271)e(cid:272)ause although (cid:373)e(cid:374) a(cid:374)d (cid:449)o(cid:373)e(cid:374) pe(cid:396)fo(cid:396)(cid:373) different tasks, resources will be shared: children: children need care and support to grow up physically ad emotionally stable. Socially sanctioned marriage and family structures (whatever form they may take) help provide the kind of environment that supports child development. Families of orientation: a bride and groom joined in marriage create a web of economic and social relationships, including their blood related parents, siblings, grandparents, and relatives.
