There is absolutely no evidence to support the idea that: there are different learning styles, there are left and right brain people. Carol dweck idea about mindset: 1) growth mindset success depends on hard-work and perseverance, 2) fixed mindset think you need a gift or a natural talent to succeed. Those with the growth mindset did better than those with the fixed mindset even if they had the same iq. When teachers say you"re so smart students think they don"t need to work hard, discourages them from putting hard work in, tend to give up when they encounter difficulty (convinced they don"t have the gift) When teachers tell students they are hard-worker encourages students to continue putting effort in.
