Every message falls into these categories and often, they messages are a combination of these. The combination influences the meaning attained from them: pragmatic, practical information, weather, news, traffic report. Strictly to give information: expressive, convey mood or expression, movies that convey moods and expression, objective, creates own reality, complete fantasy, and does not reflect reality. Inferential analysis depends on who you are, where you stand in deconstructing the message.
