Media is an extension of ourselves part of us moves outwards from us within a message. Media works according to rules, and we often adopt these rules as our own. Impact this has on us: however, if we passively accept the rules that media imposes on us, we can become controlled by media, technology can start using us, instead of the other way around. The typographical age carried certain characteristics (e. g. ordered and sequential) that it imposed on us, since media is a part of us. A new series of media came along that changed the way we think (the electric age: these forms of media are instantaneous and spontaneous, which results in negative change in us (more illogical, disordered)
