The only way to motivate people to go through training and sacrifices offer them high rewards (income) Good for society as a whole in the way that the most talented people get to the most important occupations. Enable society as a whole to function. High levels of inequality= important, valuable, necessary. Thought experiment: attack of the class-specific killer virus.
