A social movement is a group of people who voluntarily coordinate around a goal, have an ideology, typically has something to do with inequality. Relative deprivation theory circumstances of peak that create discontent. Many people point out that it is not true, sometimes when things are getting better not bad. People are often discontent about something at every point. Resource theory when time for resources were more favourable created social movements. Any movement to be successful needs an increase in resources, enough resources can increase motivation. Charles tilly repertoires of collective action change over time, i. e. internet as a tool in mobilizing people: collective behaviour in relationship to consumer behaviour: A widespread behaviour is boycott shared decision to stop buying a product, because perception of organization"s bad behaviour and need of punishment. Example is boycotting of bp gas, people who participated when surveyed, said they felt bp was part of shockingly bad behaviour.
