Here you can appeal a case: need to show that there was a problem with respect to the administration of the court, issue with the law. 1989 italy began restructuring its inquisitorial system into a us- style adversarial one. But it was an unfinished project: tried to bring in american elements from their court system. The court system: the judge receives a dossier, but not until the trail. The dossier is not complied by the prosecutor (i. e. the judge can"t throw the case out before it hits court) The trial itself was where the investigation happened. Evidence was a knife that from the forensic perspective could no way have inflicted those wounds into meredith the victim: so that evidence got admitted because the judge could not disregard it, did not have the power anymore.
